Photos: Man caught stealing on a Lagos- Abuja Aero flight

This man allegedly bought a flight ticket just to steal from another passenger.

He was caught while stealing onboard an Aero contractors flight from Lagos- Abuja this morning.

The 31 year old Dennis stole the sum of N350,000 from a luggage belonging to an Austrian, Novotny Anton, who was on the same flight.

He was spotted by a member of the airline’s cabin crew when he removed the Austrian’s bag from the luggage locker as if he was changing his seat.

He took the bag to his own seat while giving the impression that he was changing his seat and stole N150, 000 from the bag and 500 Euros belonging to the Austrian.

A female cabin crew raised alarm, asked him to remain seated while he was trying to return the bag to the cockpit before the Austrian could suspect any foul play. “While trying to return the bag I asked him to seat down.

But he became uncomfortable before the plane landed and the white man raised alarm that he couldn’t find his bag,” the cabin crew member said When the plane landed, the Austrian raised an alarm that he couldn't find his bag.

The cabin crew member immediately led other passengers to Dennis who was searched and the money found on him.

I am not the first Lady says the wife of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Hajia Aisha Muhammadu Buhari.

I am the wife of the President and will be addressed as such going forward.

She attributed the success of the camapaign to team work and was profoundly greatful to the team , women and youth that helped vote her husband into office.

She also attributed all her success and achievements to the support of the President who encouraged her to go to school even while raising 5 children where she eventually got her Master’s degree in International affairs and Strategic studies from the Nigerian Defence Acadmy NDA “We are celebrating our victory” she said and for every victory celebration, there is a party and a party it was indeed with beautifully and fashionably women from every state in the nation across every class ably represented seated as peers. Also in attendance was the wife of the Vice President Mrs Oludolapo Osibajo, who also celebrated the women who came en-masse to vote despite challenging situations, she regaled us with a story of the egg seller who had never flown in an airplane but was flown in for the party and was bring her eggs and how security did not allow the eggs on the plane.

Mrs Osibajo told us of how Mrs Buhari had continuously spoken about the Chibok girls and how meeting with the parents was a priority.

With an agenda ,giving focus to women issues, the wife of the president wants to see more women in the legislature even from the local government level.

While observing the decline of women in the legislative , a situation she hopes to help reverse; she believes empowerment from the ward level will better affect the ordinary woman on the street which was a point she highlighted in an interview with a local news station during the election campaigning.

Multiple bomb blast in Chad, police headquarters targeted, many killed

Multiple bomb explosion rocked the Chadian capital, N’Djamena this morning.

Reports say suicide bombers who are believed to be members of Boko Haram attacked the Police Headquarters.

One of the suicide bombers attacked the police academy where a graduation ceremony was going on.

Unconfirmed reports say at least 30 cadets were killed in the attack.

Hon Dogara attributed his victory at the assembly election to God and the teachings of the church which he started attending since 1988 "I have been a member of this church since 1988 even before I went to the university.

The teaching I received here has defined my life.

If it were not for the teachings we receive on this altar, maybe this victory may not have come.

Lamar Odom's bff and reality star Jamie Sangouthai dies of heroin overdose

If you watched reality show 'Khloe and Lamar' then you should know Jamie Sangouthai.

He appeared frequently in the show and was Lamar's best friend for over 20 years.

Unfortunately he died yesterday June 14th of drug (heroin) overdose, according to TMZ.

He was just 37. Jamie was reportedly found unresponsive at his LA home and was rushed to a hospital in downtown LA after 911 was called.

He died in the hospital. Jamie was the one accused of introducing Lamar to crack cocaine two years, ruining his marriage and basketball career.

So sad! May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Bashir flies out of South Africa, court case continues

Sudan’s Minister of Information says President Omar al-Bashir has now left South Africa.

The case on request to arrest him for alleged war crimes, however, continues.

Bashir, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court, was in South Africa for the AU Summit.

Nigeria, Singapore to sign air services, tax agreements

Nigeria and Singapore have concluded plans to sign agreements to strengthen their bilateral air services and curb double taxation on investments in both countries.

Nonye Rajis-Okpara, disclosed the plan in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Abuja.

Rajis-Okpara said the agreement would be sealed on August 4 in Singapore.

She said it would ensure that passenger air carriers from Nigeria and Singapore would have the authority to operate any number of air services between and beyond both countries.

According to her, the double taxation component of the agreement would clarify the taxing rights on different incomes and investments arising from cross border economic activities involving the two nations.

She said the agreements would also encourage reduction or exemption of tax on certain types of income.

Rajis-Okpara said,”The main barrier in the negotiation of agreement is the concession of mutual privileges.

The two countries must be satisfied that the agreement guarantees that both parties are equal beneficiaries. “However, the absence of a national carrier in Nigeria to reciprocate the agreement is a major problem but that would be taken care of. “Singapore seeks to promote an environment where enterprises thrive, ideas flourish and innovation prevails. “Singapore supports the introduction of new aviation technology, products and processes and works with the industry to develop and enhance its capabilities.” Rajis-Okpara said an Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement would also be signed between Nigeria and Singapore.

According to her, the agreement would seek to ensure non-discrimination, fair and equitable treatment for Nigerian investors and investments in Singapore and vice versa, among other provisions.

Rajis-Okpara said the signing of the agreements which would feature at the Nigeria-Singapore Business and Investment forum would provide a face-to-face platform for both Nigerian and Singaporean entrepreneurs to exchange ideas.

23-months old Prince and his mum Kate Middleton were spotted having a fun time yesterday during a family outing to the Festival of Polo at the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire.

His father Prince William, uncle Prince Harry and grandfather Prince Charles were also all there.

Kate Middleton, who gave birth just six weeks ago, was seen happily running after Prince George, who attempted to run up the hill.
